Just saw on the news that Mark Webber from Formula One was injured in a 'head on' crash with a car during a charity ride.

Seems like he may have broken both legs quite badly as they're talking about possibly operating...nasty.

It's not good to hear of anyone having a crash, hope he is not too bad and can regain full fitness soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not good news, but best it happened now early on in the F1 break rather than January/February.

Due to my lurgy I'm not sleeping very well, so was a wake & watching Sky News in the wee hours when this was first broadcast. The reaction of the 'main' presenter to the sports' presenter announcing it was funny if it wasn't so pathetic - all about cycling being 'dangerous' and why would his F1 team allow him to be doing such a dangerous sport...

Oh it is, it is.
Colin McRae broke something riding his MTB and that forced him to miss a rally.
'Course, it was flying a helicopter that killed him...

But I suspect there might have been a few more race and rally drivers killed or injured driving cars on the road, let alone racing or rallying them !

The moral of the tale, waffly, is not to watch Sky News...
