Would agree there, after today's off (not in the same league as MA's):

That's a bloody great hole in my elbow.. caused by a crash at 20mph down a flint path on my CX bike during the Woodcote CX sportive. Happened 20k's in, but I got back on and finished the remaining 60k's. #rule5

I reckon he half expected some serious injury by doing those stunts,that's how he's come to terms with it and making the best of a terrible situation. To lose the ability to ride a bike to a lover of cycling is hard to imagine,best wishes to him!
