Bought this book of Amazon the other day and just started reading it - absolutely brilliant ! loads of info by Brian Lopes and Lee McCormack, jam packed with fab photos - highly recommed this.

i'd second that; urban biking is a great way to practice drop-offs and bunny-hops up and down kerbs and walls etc. a real 'core' skill in mtbing, gets you out of all manner of dodgy situtations.

that and the golden rule: "Watch the gap, not the obstacle"
