Puzzle game procrastinator!
Matt finish on cars? Who knows why. Why do people keep American Pit Bulls and other aggressive dogs as pets? Some of the great imponderable questions of our society.
Yeah, like "Why do people think it is worth driving miles out into the countryside to admire the beauty of it, and then litter it with empty cans and takeaway food wrappers?" ... :cursing:

Sorry Jody , I know you know what you are talking about, my post was more for those that may not.

Apologies!

When I worked at a Peugeot dealers they launched a factory finished matt model, the RCZ ASHPHALT.

This was not a vinyl wrap finish, but I suspect the owners who had asked me about getting a touch up for them wish it was. You simply couldn't get one, not sure of the exact reason but I suspect it's due to it not being a conventional paint finish, the product needed mustn't be suitable to supply in small quantities.

The rules and regs for doing the PDI were lengthy to say the least, 'special' cleaning products had to be used to prep the car prior to collection, polishing is a complete no no, (obviously), and the handbook warns the customer about the care needed to maintain the finish. You can't even put it through a carwash, not that you would anyway, but I know some people use them.

I loved the RCZ but I didn't like the Ashphalt purely due to the matt finish:thumbsdown:

On the other hand I love my matt black CAAD10, she's a babe, schwing
