Matte paint finish on cars. WHY?

Obviously one has to do the conversions. However, there may be quite a large margin of error here as I was timing it with a sundial.

It reminds me slightly of the story of when BR ordered class 56s' from Electroputre in Romania*, and whilst on test, the engineers were just a bit puzzled because nobody had thought to tell them that the speedo was in MPH, not KPH!!




* - They were crap so the rest had to be built here instead.

Driving a green car is bad enough, but living in a green house (artificial grass, not glass) is beyond the limits of bad taste (IMO).
