what is the difference between these wheels?

ES are lighter (and more expensive). I bought the SLs about 18 months ago and have been extremely happy with them. It might sound vain, but the colour scheme of the ES did not match my bike.

Used my SLs for the first time on Sunday.

Mind you, I can only compare them to the Fulcrum 7s that came with my bike. Which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. 1200 miles in and the pawls in the hub disintegrate. No chance of a replacement part under warranty on a unit 8 months old. Apparently the shop that sold me the bike should foot the bill. That'll teach me to not buy local. Why should an LBS have to pay for a manufacturer's faulty unit? Not impressed. Shall never buy Fulcrum or Campagnolo ever again. For the sake of a £5 part too..........
