I fitted them about 6 years past.
They are (or had been black ) the spokes are a flat type (aero ? )
The black finish is coming away and a white ,grey colour has appeared.
I have tried to rub this off with a scotch pad "usual use is in the kitchen"
Has made no difference.
Is there any other product I can try ?
I am prepared to paint the spokes with a" Humbrol" model makers enamel if there is no other solution.
The wheels have given me good service but the discoloration annoys me.
Possibly I am to fussy ?
Thank you for any replies.

How about a black permanent ink marker pen?

Unfortunately Mavic spokes aren't stainless steel so they do corrode badly when exposed to salty water. All you can do is rub down and paint but the corrosion has already gone right inside the nipples and stuck them to the spokes.
