It's tough for me to tell though, because cutting out cola (i didn't drink tea or coffee) also cut down the amount of sugar i was consuming, and I started taking Codliver oil every morning at the same time.

What I do know is now i always feel like i've got more energy than i ever had when i was on caffeine daily, and my state of mind actually feels kinda different.

I think caffeine should really only be used when you specifically need it for a large amount of work or to stay awake for a long time, taking it daily probably builds both a reliance and a tolerance.

That the problem when you change lots of things at the same time isn't it. You're never sure what causes what. I only started cycling a year or so ago, and generally feel so much better than I did before (helped that I stopped smoking as well). I reckon caffeine is probably next on my list of vices to stop!
