Hechingen Old Castle, now home to the Hohenzollern Museum. Hohenzollern-Hechingen was a small semi-independent principality until 1850; the Hohenzollern family have a complex history and ended up being the last emperors of Prussia.

...and on the other side of the appropriately named Schloßplatz ("Castle Square") is the New Castle, now the main administrative building for the local transport authority and a branch of the county bank.
