One of the delights (and necessities, in reality) in my bit of France (the Drôme) is public water fountains/sources, sometimes supplied direct from the hillside. But public water fountains used to be a thing in the UK to, so plenty of opportunity to showcase both working and historic examples.
Here's my first offering - the all-year-round source at les Nonières... a life-saver on a hot day, on this 20km climb.
