Iv been on it every day for a week now, bloody brilliant. talk about a clever peice of kit. Any suggestions for apps gratefully recieved, as a lot of my time on it is spent on the app store looking and humming and haaing. Iv got the tunein radio app which is very good, but cant make my mind up on a lot of them.

Is there an app which helps you decide which app you want:giggle:

Night Sky is good. You just point your iPad or iPhone at any part of the night sky and it tells you what you are looking at (constellations, planets, stars etc).

Twitcher (not free though) is good to help i.d. birds in the field and includes song. (I had a dunnock going bananas yesterday thinking he had a rival on his patch when I played the dunnock's song).

Tunein Radio - gets just about every radio station on the planet.

I found Bike Hub to look for some new routes. I think there's a long way to go with this, but once it develops it could be a useful tool as it includes many off road routes that are commonly used but not necessarily shown on the O.S. Map.

Think about apps when your out and about for example if you have a prefernce supermarket or garage because you collect points or rewards get the app because when your away from home you'll find it will point you in the right direction so little things like convenience apps are great.

Is an Ipad similar/same as an Ipod? You can tell I don't know the first thing about them...

I got very close to buying one of these as I thought it would be ideal for plugging my Garmin Edge into in order to up/download routes. Turns out you can't do this. Apparently you can buy a little adapter to enable you to plug USB into it (which several people told me would work) but it turns out that it only works with cameras and some flash drives (I'm guessing it's down to the power draw of the Garmin?). Does anyone know if there's a work round?
