There was also a 3.5 magnitude earthquake in Avignon that made a bit of a boom at 5am this morning, waking some pets. Some reported that part of a bridge fell down too.

Yup. The FB replies to a media report on it were quite funny. Apparently lots of people heard a 'boom' sound. Someone thought their dog had farted.

The Pont d'Avignon could do with an earthquake to put it out of its misery. It's a scruffy short pier with no features of interest whatever.
