Moisturiser is for replacing the oils you've just removed with your shower gel. The cosmetics companies must be chuckling over that one.

I just use a mild soap hence no moisturiser required.

Shower gel? Moisturiser? After shave balm? It's another world Uncle Mort!

.... and there's me, encouraged by the nearest and dearest to have a bath once a week whether I need it or not.

It's probably a generational thing but I see it as female thing. Anyway may fce is as soft as the proverbial baby's bum. Must have something to do with not shaving for the last 33 years.

However, after years working on the farm, practically bathing in diseasel on a daily basis, the skin on my knuckles now starts cracking in mid-October and needs moisturiser from then to March/April. If I skip a day with the moisturiser, it becomes very painful and soon starts bleeding, so I slap Norwegian formula or something similar on daily.

I get dry chapped skin on my fingertips, from the gloves I wear at work, epsecially when they get wet. I've been trying to remember to use moisturiser on them, but I'm not good at getting in to the routine. I've been using E45 lotion - do you recommend the Norwegian stuff?
