Is there a little bit of panic starting to come out at the front of the chasing group that they are not bringing the breakaway back fast enough??

Ridiculous. What on earth makes people walking about in the rain more exciting than the World Championship road race?
At least we got the fantastic women's race yesterday... today's didn't seem to be quite as great from the reports. And it's 'goodbye' to Bettini, who is now going to retire.

They just seemed to melt away Keith, one minute it was almost Spain versus Italy the next it was a sea of blue shirts.
Bettini was indeed a Gentleman in defeat.
It was great as well to see Russell Downing mixing it up with the big boys.
