I did see a massive one a few years back, it looked like someone had drawn with a piece of chalk on a blackboard. I rushed home to see if Rochdale had been wiped out.

The skies are reasonably clear in South London, good view of Orion & Gemini.

I believe the best area of sky to see them is just to the north west of Gemini, nothing showing at the mo. but I'll get a better look when the heavens have turned a bit more.

Still can't see anything although I can see the stars, too much light pollution and hazy cloud me thinks?

Where abouts in Fareham are you Montage?
I'd imagine there are good clear skies on the beach down by the Osbourn View?

I saw one last night. about 30degs above the horizon and going relatively slowly. Red and yellow head with a long tail.

You really need to go to a dark sky site for the best views, or at least get away from the city lights.
