MGM Lion roar

I've got a video of someone roaring that I need to replace the lion in the mgm video.

There are quite a few tutorials online but they all use mega expensive software - any pointers for freeware stuff or trial software I might be able to use?

do you have windows movie maker on your PC? if so, you can overdub the audio or insert video easily enough.

I do - couldn't see how you can insert the video into just part of the screen though??

You can do bugger all with Movie Maker.

Sony's Vegas editor is a decent bit of kit and has a free trial:

I'm not sure what kind of restrictions you get in terms of output though.

You can also get a free trial of After Effects:

Again though, unsure of restrictions, but when I was using the trial of Photoshop CS6 there weren't any, so it may be the same story here.
