generally you want to get the fastest class you can, as its do with the read/write speed of the card.

What resolution videos will you be taking at do you know what format they are stored in?

I was just about to post the exact same question! :biggrin: Looks like the Class 10 card is the way forward.

If you think of video as being like a slideshow, every frame the recorder saves every pixel (for simplicity of the example ;)), so the more pixels or the higher the framerate the faster it needs to save data to the card. IIRC you need class 10 for a full HD 1080p video camera and a class 4 for the chewing gum style 640*480 30fps cameras. If you use a card that's a little too slow I think you usually just get sporadic lower framerates so it looks jerky. :smile:
