I've got a bbb "roundabout" middle chainring - it doesn't seem to have one of those little nobbles that you line up with the crankarm. Does this mean it doesn't matter which way round you install it (rotationally, I mean - I'm not intending to try it back-to-front)?

Thanks!

Looking at piccies, your chainring would appear not to have shift-ramps etc, so I'd say no it doesn't matter.

Cool. This one has got pins and machined ramps, but they're regularly arranged. I've stared at it for ages, and can't see any difference however I rotate it, so I'll give it a go. Will report back if it doesn't work. Thanks 'slide.
