I've been following them and if they had gone through Bristol at a reasonable time I would have gone out to cheer them on... I heard them being interviewed on the radio this morning and Miranda sounded very tired, whereas Patrick K. sounded very upbeat and he was on his third stint on the bike that day....

You would have to be very fast they are almost there... on the outskirts of Penzance according to the live tracker...

They have done brilliantly well, i have to say though i have the most admiration for the 'proper' cyclist who are going with them. Two blokes are cycling in 4 hours shifts the whole way (4 hours on and off for 4 days)

Fair play to them. The Scottish sections sounded pretty bad, -15c overnight. One of the guys cycling with them sounded like he was heading towards hypothermia.

I've just donated. I think they've well and truly earned it.

Yep they have arrived just after 6.30 we saw the dot come to a stand-still at Lands End and I thought they deserved a donation as well...

You have to be kidding ... it looked too much like hard work... if I ever do it, I don't want a dash from one end to the other but more to savour the trip - and not in March!!!

Hard work for a non-cyclist, but a 2 hour stint, then an exec coach and the frillies, then a bike a bit later....... not too bad....... ;)

TBH well done, as a few of them are total nubes..... might just raise the profile of cycling..... supposed to be covered this weekend.... I'll be watching.

A two hour stint at 2 am, with temps of -15 would definitely have me whimpering at the side of the road even with 2 or 3 years experience behind me now:biggrin:. There is some mention of a program on Friday 19th March at 9pm.

What would be interested to know would be who was a cyclist before and are any of them going to continue to cycle afterwards?

Russell Howard was outed as a "serious cyclist" in the initial interview IIRC, not sure about the others
