Love a good bit of Stollen - any recommendations?
Report it to the police, and don't buy it.

Tried these and very tasty mincemeat but all the flavour was pastry so not as nice as they could have been

For those who live in the north-west the best mince pies I've ever found are Booths own brand. Absolutely delicious. Great pastry, not to sweet and a hint of bitterness about the mince.

I have been told no more mince pies hence buying the pudding 😋

Genius! Love it! :notworthy:

Do they do mail order?
Not as far as I know. Click and collect but that seems to be it.

Booths is somewhat unique. Only 25 stores, all in the north-west, hugely supportive of local and artisan, for want of another word, producers, generally speaking never busy and rather expensive. The range of things one can't buy elsewhere is extensive and if one knows what to look for there are good prices to be had.

When Waitrose wanted to move into the northwest they tried to buy Booths. Booths turned them down in no uncertain terms.

The nearest one to us in Ripon closed down which was rather sad. Mrs W would occasionally drag me over there to do a big shop.

Most shops seem to have overstocked on FreeFrom mince pies this year.
Last year neither Aldi or Lidl stocked any so all the others, locally at least, sold out before Christmas.
Aldi late in the Mince pie availability announced FreeFrom ones which meant a huge glut of them left over. Judging by the quantity that was left on Sainsbury's shelves they must have either dropped them significantly in price or given then away.
Before the post Christmas reductions Co-op for members had theirs cheaper than Aldis and fully heated they seemed okay to me.
Currently have a dozen of Sainsbury's to scoff by the 30th which were bought in the early days of mince pie availablity when Asda had sold out and Morrisons had ones dated for the first week of December!
Also dozen bought on clearance from Aldi dated for Feb 12.
