Hills Road, they're doing major renovations to it for the guided bus (going under it, I think). So its two narrow lanes now, one each way.
OK. I'm off that way at the w/e. Might have a nosey.
Btw that bridge over the Cam (Riverside) is finished. Looks quite impressive.

Nice one Cab. If I got rear ended, I'd be extremely bloody minded about getting their insurance details, reporting it to the cops and writing to their insurance company.

As I just handed in a letter of complaint to Plod for them not doing what they said they'd do (which was having words with the guy) when a taxi driver endangered me (that one being caught on the helmet camera), I just can't be doing with them. They're just useless; they've got the legal tools for dealing with these idiots who risk our lives, they simply don't give a crip.

I wouldn't expect anything from the cops, but I would want to let their insurance company know they had an accident, and I'd then suggest my rear wheel may have been damaged and I might need to claim. If it turns out it's not damaged, I can always withdraw the claim, but in the meantime they have an accident on their insurance record, and if it's a company car their company will know about it via the insurance company.

I was being bloody minded about his insurance details, hence causing the delay for all involved (and all the bystanders, the poor saps behind him who through no fault of their own I wasted the time of). But at the end of the day, if he ain't going to give me said details, theres nothing I can do (legally) to force him. So, I chose to simply p*** him off.

Its nice. Its a little disorientating with having railings either side of the cycle but and being curved, and at the North side it might be better when the building works around the access route finish and the fences come down, as visibility at those points is currently poor, but its really a good facility for cyclists and pedestrians.

You could always stick his picture online. Taking pictures in a public place and posting them on the web is not against the DPA.....

Go on, lets see him! :becool:

That would mean working out how to get images of this phone thing... I'll look see if I can work that out.

Your mobile phone should've come with some cables to connect it up to your PC to download the pictures. Then you can use http://tinypic.com/ to upload the photos to this forum.

No getting out of it, Cab!

I think you're missing the point - reporting it to the police is nothing to do with them taking any action, it's to get his insurance details. They can't refuse to do that.

They can't, but then, there are only so many things I've got the energy for following up at once. One incident with the police at a time is sufficient!

He looks a bit vacant to me!

Now do we have an image expert who could clean the image up a bit:biggrin:

My expertise with image suggests to me that he has a tiny willy, and never gets to use it anyway...

(my stock answer for any act of frustrated idiocy by a bloke, I have to say)

well if he damaged your wheel, im sure it would have been out of true  then he leaves the scene of an accident without giving details, that in itself is an offense.

Oh, I quite agree, in principle. Try getting Cambridge Plod to take that seriously though. Just ain't worth it... Besides, I've just handed in a complaint about a previous incident, about which more later.
