I used to really like Peter Kay in his early days, especially Phoenix nights/Max and Paddy.
Not so sure now, maybe less is more?
Lee Evans I could watch a lot, hilarious and love his energy.

Without a doubt he has, and a live atmosphere always seems to amplify things to another level, however, I just think after his first DVD he got very lazy and IMHO he's very much a one trick pony.
Whereas Lee Evans is very much one sweaty pony ^_^
The wife laughed her socks off at Kay and just grinned at Evans occasionally. It was the exact opposite for me. I like Kay in that he doesn't try to be too clever.

oh and Lee Evans, sweaty fool

I remember when I was doing my Prince's Trust course a few years back, and there was a guy on it who, to put it mildly, wasn't the brightest of chaps.

He LOVED Lee Evans, and one day he was talking about him and he said of Evans, and I am not kidding

'I really like Lee Evans, you know, he was the first ever comedian to sweat!!'

Oh how I wanted to laugh, but, alas, not being very bright, he got offended really easily, so I just left it.
The first ever comedian to sweat?? You mean that all comedians up until that point all constantly smelled of roses??

That oaf from Gavin and Stacey has been spectacularly unfunny when I've seen him on the TV.

Harry Hill's very funny, great live too. Funniest one I've seen is Greg Proops, hilarious!

Greg Proops is great. Saw him live once. One very funny man.
Also really used to like him on Who's Line Is It Anyway, especially when teamed up with Ryan Styles and/or Colin Mochrie
