Well the experts are flummoxed, so you're not likely to find much enlightenment on here.
FWIW, my own theory is sudden, catastrophic structural failure of the aircraft, but it's quite possible that we will never find out what went wrong.

There is even speculation that the transponder was turned off to stop the aircraft being tracked and it has landed safely somewhere and a hostage situation is present, seems silly but I do hope this is a possibility, then all the passengers are still alive, hostages but alive

There has been 3 reports of family members phoning missing passengers and the phone rings a few times , doubt this would happen if the phones were under water, its just too strange to just disappear the way it seems to have done

My missus was on the very first flight back to the UK after 9/11 landed at Newcastle, on an old rickerty Monach airlines jobbie, Canada wouldn't allow them to fly over Canada, but after a big event like this, it is probably the safest time to travel, security will be at is highest

Folk automatically assume the passengers using fake passports are terrorists, not necessarily, maybe they are poor and just want to get a better life in another country, give what money they do have to a gang who then help them get into another country so that they can work and send money back home. The plane is supposed to be one of the safest planes in service so to 'drop out of the sky' is apparently near impossible.
