I'm prepared to offer her the benefit of the doubt, she was probably receiving loads of information in her ear piece and had 5 mins of live TV to fill, so came out with a standard "what do you think" question without thinking about the outcome. I bet she feels pretty crappy about herself right now.

This is the problem with live rolling 24 news, they have to be the first for a scoop. Did you see Fox News last week broadcast a man commit suicide live on TV by shooting himself in the head with a pistol. What do Fox and Sky have in common?

I think she's had enough chances to redeem herself - have you not seen her interview with Peter Andre or her humiliation by Chris Bryant?

We have friends who have a daughter at University. He has changed jobs to the University area and bought a flat so their daughter can live with her Father through Uni rather than run the risk of living in a hall of residence or share a house with other students!

I'm getting a little disgusted at some of the volunteers who are "helping" in the search for this little girl. Fair enough in the first 24 hours when the police needed all the manpower they could get and local people who know the area were assisting in the search, but the ones coming in from far afield with their "grieving more than thou" attitude seem to regard the whole thing as a jolly wheeze and are probably doing nothing more than getting in the way and getting on everybody's nerves.

That really is going to help her become a balanced adult, isn't it!
My brother in law insisted that his daughter went to the nearest university and came home once in the week and all weekend. She has left home at last but doesn't go out and has never had a boyfriend - and the idiot can't see that he has done anything wrong.

That woman has history. You can't say her treatment of Peter Andre was an error, that was thought through.

You see, I'd have run off years ago with a power freak like that as a parent, FFS!

It gets worse as well - there still seem to be volunteers looking despite the police requests.

And now it's a murder inquiry, they're looking for a dead body. Seriously disturbing and morbid (and, of course, likely to contaminate the crime scene)

OT a bit, but I heard about that on the radio and thought the contrite apology afterwards was hypocritical crap. News footage is often full of people dying, it's just convenient that they are doing it inside a shelled building or something (and of course, very often they are only foreigners, so they hardly count in some people's minds). We see 9/11 replayed time after time - the instant of death for hundreds at once. Either you show life warts and all, or you don't. Why is one man dying live on air more shocking than dozens?

But I'm a hard hearted cow sometimes.

I find that hard to believe Arch.

We've never met and the interweb can be a playground for false personae.

But I give you a special 5 star, superb most of the time - and I suspect (and hope) your hard hardest hours are still nicer than most people's average behaviour.

I agree - news coverage is a pile of shoot BTW
