I did my first triathlon 20k bike on a raleigh hybrid....my bike time told me I need to get a road bike ASAP!

My bank balance tells me I can only spend 200 quid!

Planning on doing 40k on this and 2 training rides a week on a 45 min fast spin the other a 2 hour grind!

Trawling ebay daily and gumtree. Very few used bargains to be had in my size. I'm 6ft and want to be comfortable so don't want to compromise on 58 or 60cm frame.

Really want specialized allez triple for 200 quid!

Save up for the Triban. They do come up for £200-250 on here and eBay if you're patient

Hmmm - I'd personally buy second-hand for £200. But:

- it's alunminium
- it's got STI's

Amazon reviews suggest the brakes/wheels/tyres are very poor though.

What size are you looking for on eBay? Near me they're all 58/60/62cm frame sizes if they are a decent price; I'm looking for 53/54cm and these are usually much more expensive *


* Yes, I've already got far too many bikes according to SWMBO, but I'm only looking

Great advice about the Triban though thanks everyone. I was in Decathlon in Cov the other day and had a try but thought I would get some advice off people in the know first.
