Mizani Zone HT, Hybrid Bike, any thoughs?

hi, im on a budget of about £300 to get my self a decent bike. within my budget i have seen this in a local bike shop

Don't know the brand. It's a bit cheap and cheerful and IMO you don't need the sus forks, they only add weight and little extra comfort. 14kg is stated which is quite heavy. Beware of psychological discount pricing. These bikes are made to sell at the discounted figure, and would never be sold at the higher price, hence the "typical high street price" label.

If you are careful you can get a good second hand bike for your budget which has a better spec. People often buy bikes and for one reason or another rarely use them and end up selling them on, this is the sort you should be looking for.

If you fancy a good retro bike you could pick one up from @biggs682 who is not too far from you in Wellingborough, and be well within your budget.

Don't know the bike and never heard of Mizani but are you riding on or off road? If on road, look for something without suspension which will be pants on a budget bike - especially as no lockout

That site has very random 'brands' for sure

If riding on roads, this is a better bet (I expect you could haggle them down to £300)

Thanks, i will be using the bike on the roads, and in leicester we have a lot of trails but they are rough. thats the reason im considering front suspension but im not set on having it, im liking the look of the Mizani Aero FBS, Road Bike, 24 Speed but like you said, youve not really heard of the brand. i might keep looking and see what comes up, at least in not rushing to get a bike

That would give you much better spec than what your budget would buy you new and going by the original post it's as close to a new bike as you would get
