Mo Farah Not Running The Marathon

Very strange to have someone starting the Marathon with the intention of running only half of it .

Surely that cannot be right?

Report seemed to me as if it were for appearance but MF stated that it was so he could 'prepare' and 'get everything ready' for next year.

The likes of Paula Radcliffe, Steve Cram and Jonathan Edwards were not impressed.

The marathon happens every year. This means he's already had a year to prepare for it does it not?? What a cop out...

It's a load of bollix, in a nutshell - (or maybe a load of nuts in a bollixshell). I'm not sure who gets anything out of it apart from Mo trousering half a mill.
The organisers get some publicity but do they need this sort that badly for the London?
Farah doesn't get to know anything new, as running half a marathon is no help in preparing for or knowing what a full marathon feels like.

He's effectively a very expensive pace maker.
I wonder if he will actually run 20 miles or maybe a bit further if he's feeling good?

No we have a lot of typical Brits who like to knock successful people.

He is an entertainer like most professional sports people and there will be plenty of people happy to see him.

Paula Radcliffe, at her peak, commanded a similar appearance fee.

Steve Cram charges £5,000 to present awards at ceremonies.

I'm prepared to bet that Jonathan Edwards doesn't do his 'motivational speeches' for free.

They can all STFU.

Farah has only recently stepped up his distance. If he stays injury free he's got a good chance of winning the thing.
