Not sure how good they are the fitter in the workshop at work has the first one and dropped it a few times and it remains undamaged. Android touchscreen aswel but its very bulky as phones go nowadays.

Yeah - a friend has one of those. Ugly piece of kit, but he swears it's indestructible.

Incidentally, re the HD Desire - it might be worth changing the screen. You can get new ones off ebay for a tenner or so, and there's videos on YouTube. It's fiddly, but doable. One tip: make sure you get all the old adhesive out - if you leave any globs behind, the screen ends up too far from the digitizer to respond properly.

Samsung have had a go with the S4 Active, but Stuff drowned a phone under test for a review, and they revealed that the S4 Active's warranty doesn't cover water damage! (Link)

Take the battery, SD card and sim card out and put the phone and those three items in the airing cupboard for two or three days.

There's a very slim chance it will fire up OK, otherwise it's screwed.

This has worked for me on two phones before, neither a BB but its worth a try. Mates suggested put them in a bag of rice which worked quicker.
