Morning Folks,

Woke stupidly early as it was too hot and then didn't get back to sleep for a good while, so feeling a tad jaded. Busy day and lots of stupidity to deal with, so headed into the office to bang a few heads together.

SG, are you not bored with all this shuttling to and from the UAE?

i'm off to the volcanoes for a few weeks cycling, basking and lazing, with the odd smidge of wfv the first few days

slept well under duvet, had the windows open - once you've done enough trips to the tropics, living out of a concrete sweatbox on the edge of the jungle, listening to the creepy crawlies screeching the night away, a warm night in london is no problem

Morning

It was a comfortable 14 deg c here overnight.
I recall: One Easter in Malindi, where the fan in the ceiling stirred the soup such was the thickness of the air, 40 deg c and we suffered the doldrums with headaches*...
...and in Turkana where we hit a dust storm on the way. So dry and arid, Dry river beds, dead elephants all dehydrated and emaciated...

I expect lots of tales from Timanfaya and the land of the Tabbies @sungod .

Meanwhile, in the land of Jock: easy day coupled with a few chores.

*Partially cured by fresh coconut milk.

ceiling fan? you were lucky!

usually no electricity for decadent fans, just the noise of whatever was munching away inside the bed frame next to my head - solved by dabbing the wood around the entrance hole with petrol and setting it alight, after which, silence

Afternoon
Tis a warm one here and Mrs W is braving the heat and cutting the hedge, I did my bit by checking the drains. Now it’s time to face the thunder bugs and go for a ride.

I'm also finishng early to finalise my suitcase arrangements, unfortunatly no bikes will be involved, just beer. Lots and lots of beer.

WFW, bought a new t-shirt, travel home to see the sulking doggy. Pack, bed, rise.

Checked out where good weather was going to be (not where we expected it to be) made a plan and dug a teenager out of her pit in time to execute the plan.
Not sure Archerfield walled garden is really my kind of place but the café at Tyninghame always delivers.
Overall, today has to go down as a win.
