A slightly improved weather picture from sunrise although, apparently, this is our lot and it's to be pish until Friday.

Spent most of the day in bed yesterday with the lurgy. Slightly improved today so might try and expose myself to some daylight.

More medicinal coffee required.

Dodgy belly overnight, but after an early morning clearance sale and improved forecast, I might yet trundle down to Budleigh for a lunchtime pasty, as I'll be sitting on a coach most of tomorrow going to and from the Royal Alfred Hall.

But it's still raining now, so I guess I'll pass the time with some coffee.

Morning Workers and Shirkers,

Early rise to head into the office for our 2 day European finance conference. Got all the finance directors from Euroland and beyond coming here so I can collar them for stuff, captive audience. Decent dinner and after dinner booze up on the cards so staying over in town.

Got to meet junior's new boyfriend yesterday, she was keeping him a bit quiet but couldn't avoid it this time. I resisted doing my Robert de Niro 'Meet the Parents' routine as he seemed like an alright bloke.

Quite bright here. Took Bertie for a walk then cleaned my Winter bike as yesterdays first outing of the winter ended with the bottom bracket cups rotating. So it needs to into the shop as it’s only been ridden about 15 times since it was replaced. Might go for a ride if it stays dry.
