Mags, I also think you come across as wound up, not very much sure, but enough to call the cyclist a numpty and carry on with the ego contest that he started.

You've really lost me here BM. I wasn't in any contest, honest! I'm honestly curious where it comes across that I was.

Actually, in the shower tonight I had an idea (that's where all ideas happen surely!). Look out for a new thread...xx(

Err no. If the other cyclist had slipped, he'd end up more to the left. He's in a right turn after all.

Depends where he starts to fall and at which stage during the turn he falls - so it will be left of that. xx( Not an exact or predictable science but in relation to the original video the other cyclists turn does partly take place in the car lane so he could have ended up under the car. Doesn't excuse him not 'falling' in behind magnatom until it is safe to overtake him or until magnatom is aware of his intention.

Overtaking cyclist on right turn was out of order. I would not consider it right for a motorcyclist to do this to another motorcyclist and I would apply that to a cyclist as well. What if magnatom has fell on his turn due to frost or diesel on the turn - he would have forced the other cyclist into the path of an oncoming car or at best brought him down in front of it.

Overtaking on a blind corner is just completely daft and so common among car drivers who do not read the road ahead.

Both incidents would have been a fail in an advanced motorcycle test so lets hope these bods don't think about upgrading to engine power!

That's what I thought shunter, but hey ho!xx(

As I'm sure others who've had the opportunity to cycle in Magnatom's company will confirm, he's most definitely NOT the kind of person who gets wound up. He's far too cheery and Glaswegian to let numpties bother him for longer than it takes him to shout or comment !

(Did that sound OK Magnatom ? I'll accept that bribe payment via Paypal by the end of today, right ?) xx(

+1 that's what I was thinking but couldn't put in words.

he's passionate about what he believes to be an important role in road safety for cyclists.

Made me think of the many police Bikesafe courses there are for Motorcyclists - now that a lot of police are going back to using bicycles it may be time for them to look at bicyclesafe courses for all riders - adult and young. Maybe a blue book for advanced cycling and IAMs certificates with cheap insurance.

Aww shucks, thanks guys!

I'd like to think I am a fairly easy going guy. I don't think that comes across in my videos and my writting about them. That's why I think the scale (see new thread) might help.

User,. Maybe we should have a poll on magnatom's top 10 cringe worth moments. I promise not to vote!

Or writing.

I've got to say, while I've agreed with some and disagreed with others, you've never come across as being full on, as some seem to think.

I didn't think you came across that well in the original numpty cyclist thread, though, simply because of what you said to the guy - I'm not sure telling the guy he's a bit of a numpty with no real explanation of the reasons is the best way to get a road safety message across.

It's Glasgow - you don't need to add any explanation to 'numpty'. It already encapsulates every reason and explanation known in the universe within those phonemes and also within its orthographic representation.

But is the said numpty too much of a numpty to understand which of the explanations encapsulated in the phrase 'you're a bit of a numpty' is the correct one?

Oh I think he understood! Just look at his wee face!

Just wait 'till Maggers captures one of our very own and calls them a numpty, the fur will fly. In fact is it true Goo, that that was you in the tunnel?

Can't honestly say that any of those videos would particularly bother me enough to make a comment. Numpties are ten a penny.
