The joint ownership type needs a needs a bit of consideration - thankyou.

I presume you can chop and change it at a later date?
I know from experience one can change once, this is what we did going from joint tenants to tenants in common. Whether one can chop and change to suit is open to question. My feeling is after making one change there would need to be a very good, legally acceptable reason to change again. Perhaps a change in marital or legal partner or something similar.

Whatever you do to secure the property for the future, do it soonest.

If you leave it until someone needs care etc councils can rule it was done deliberately to avoid fees.

However, make your arrangements decades ahead when everyone is hale and hearty and there is no reasonably foreseeable prospect of needing caring for and the carncils cant do much - they'll still bluster and try to duck and dive, theres big money at stake, but theres quite a weight of case law telling them to bog off.
