The bike does seem to strangely move off under its own steam?

I would suspect it's just the momentum of the rear of the frame sliding down hill, up until the motorbike whacks it that is

I think it is just the momentum of the bike wheel. Those bikes are very light, or so I hear, so it wouldn't take much to move it like that. Also where on earth do they think the motor is and for that matter the battery. If they could have made motors and batteries so compact and powerful enough to assist more than it weighed the rider down over an entire leg of the Vuelta then somebody would have told us by now. Motor my backside. (That's a statement, not an invitation.)
