For Red Bull it very much seems like the "Old Guard" is gone

but that might be a good thing for them if the people taking over can follow up on the good bits and get rid of the bad bits
although how you define each category is debateable

but Max looks a lot happier recently - and if he is happier and the car is OK then they might just be unbeatable

There are rumours in the press that Oscar Piastri is looking for an out clause from McLaren...

The supposed reason is the perceived favouritism within the Team for Norris,

The daily wail

Discus - Should Pisastri feel hard done by?

It's the Daily Wail - 'nuff said. And the silly season is just that.

IMHO Piastri needs to carry the can some too - crashing twice in Baku didn't help, and neither did a couple of qualifying hiccups due to yellow flags and a poor first lap in Q3. That's just racing. When you look across the whole season, he just wasn't consistent enough when it got to the pointy end.

I see that prat Marko is blaming Horny for rhe comments Marko made about Mexicans being lazy or the like, claiming the Horny camp started it as a rumour.

That Marko made the comment to a journo seems to have already been forgotten...

Marko is unsurprisingly being ridiculed over this latest nonsense.

Rumours emerging that Horny has some decent financial backing and is in negotiations to buy Otro Capital's 24% stake in Alpine. If its true and comes off, would make him the largest shareholder and give him effective control as them remaining share ownership is complex and fragmented.

It'd almost be worth it to see Tonto's face as the trucks leave Brixworth with the MB race engines to be delivered to Horny's house

More rumours...

RBPT/Ford are now reckoned to have a very competitive ICE engine. Speculation abounds they, along with Merdedes, have found a quir in the rules that enables them to utilise a higher compression when in use than the figure measured at the static FIA test, thus cheating the 16:1 mandated limit.

Say Good to the Dunlop Bridge
The Automobile Vlub de l’Ouest (ACO) has announced that the Dunlop Bridge at Le Mans will undergo a rebrand for 2026 and beyond.
The bridge (and presumably the Dunlop Chicane) will be re-named the Goodyear Bridge and will undergo a complete makeover.
The ‘Dunlop Bridge’ first appeared in 1932 and was situated at the end of the pit straight. It was moved to its current location as part of the substantial rebuilding subsequent to the 1955 disaster.
