Probably the most recognisable voice in football reporting.

I just came on here to see if anyone had mentioned this, sad news but I bet everyone has a smile on their face when they think of him.

Not long after Dickie Davies either, two favourites from my childhood.

Now aged 73 the mind can play tricks.But i remember making sure i got home from the pub on a Saturday night to watch MOTD.Motty was like a fine wine, today pundits are like supermarket colas if i even watch a game live i normally turn off the sound.MOTD i have not seen it in ages,i watch the goals on YouTube,and dont get me started on female pundits.Thanks Motty you were simply the best.
