I partook last year and grew a gunfighter tache to make Hulk Hogan proud, but as in currently sporting a full beard I shan't be doing it this year.
Nice one! In the 2 months that I've been reading these forums and read your posts, I'd expect nothing less than a gunfighter tache from you

I'm doing terrible, it's a bit lop sided - nothing to do with my trimming, it's just a little greyer on my left side.

Pretty even and soft now. I did shape it a little as the full MAGNUM just didn't suit me. Must get an update on mobro later today.
Have around £50 in pledges,as friends and family laugh, then ask, then admire ..... And finally part with some cash!

My mum has finally succumb to donate, on the promise it (whatever 'it' actually becomes! Magnum is but a distant dream.) gets removed on Dec 1st.

I am happy with my first week attempt. I am going for the "Falklands Marine Corporal" look, with a bit of a "soul patch" just to let people know I am not really attempting to look like a 1980s squaddie

I can't take part in Movember as I have beard-tache-sideburns combo that I've had for years. No I won't shave them off either. Accidently took sideburns off a few weeks back ( forgot to put beard trimmer length guide back on when I cleaned it). But grown them back already. I'm sponsoring my brother and GF's son though.

It takes ages for my facial hair to grow too, I'm lucky if I have to shave more than once a week!

Also suggested to my wife about me growing a moustache for movember. She wasn't impressed at all, said I'd look awful (polite version of what she actually said) in the pics with our new baby (due today aarrrgghh!) :-D :-D

I've no idea how long it would take me to grow a moustache. I've had mine for about 30 years and it's only even been shaved off twice in that time (once when a trimming got out of hand and I ended up looking like Adolf Hitler and once because my wife wanted to see what I'd look like).
I've always wanted to grow a beard but as I've been in the military for over 25 years that's not been an option. Once, after 3 back-to-back tours in Iraq I found myself with an obscene amount of leave that I had to take all at once (about 4 weeks) so decided to give it a go. It was at this point that I realised I'd left it too late, the beard grew very rapidly and with even coverage  the problem was it was a sort of stripy Badger style mix of black, brown, ginger and grey

My first party yesterday as a Movember man ... the lads had seen my tash, but not their wives. Made for interesting banter!

I did get another £20 for the cause
