You're thinking of 85 Charing Cross Road, based on a book of the correspondence between a New York bibliophile and an elderly bookseller in London. I've never seen the film, but it's a nice book.

It's a wonderful film, and the OT seemed to fit with the theme of it. I am so pleased you recognised my description of the film. :becool:
