"Do you like vegetables boy?"
It sounds like a line from a film, about two bookshops. One in London, and one in Boston or New York. Might have been something like 49 Blankety Street? Of course it might not?
You watch a whole movie and you can remember one short line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can watch a long movie and not remember a bloody thing! That's why I don't watch movies much!
You're thinking of 85 Charing Cross Road, based on a book of the correspondence between a New York bibliophile and an elderly bookseller in London. I've never seen the film, but it's a nice book.
Anyway, back to the thread ...
It's a wonderful film, and the OT seemed to fit with the theme of it. I am so pleased you recognised my description of the film.
84 C X Rd... used to work opposite for a while...
Ok here we go the line is
"this is the reason bald headed men are so uptight"
Was that Withnail & I?
Ay they both were but noone seemed to get the first one well done
Gotta be my favorite film that.
"we were starting to make an enemy of our own future.
Is it my go then?
My favourite bit -
Withnail: Are you the farmer?
Marwood: Shut up, I'll deal with this.
Withnail: We've gone on holiday by mistake. We're in this cottage here. Are you the farmer?
Marwood: Stop saying that Withnail, of course he's the f***ing farmer!
My mind is drawing a blank, I'll pass my go to Lardyboy.
