Hi,

(I have 10 speed gear shifters - part of the Tiagra groupset on the bike)

Can I replace the Tiagra 10 speed casette for Dura-Ace 10 speed casette (I would like to assume I have a 10 speed freehub - I am not entirely sure), and then afterwards downsize the 10 dureace cassette to 8 or 9 sprockets by adding spacers to the end of freehub so I can install it appropriately, is this all workable or?

Thanks.

I have to ask: what is your aim with this, and why not do it with the Tiagra cassette? It would be easier, I would think, to simply convert down to 8 or 9 speed, remembering that whichever you choose, you're going to need new shifters too.
In fact, it might be easier and cheaper to source a s/h 8 or 9 speed bike!

Greetings Loose Monkey, and welcome to the team.

I'm not sure I understand what you're planning - what exactly is the end result you're trying to achieve?
