Hmmm, I've now had a look and I can't see anywhere to plug it in anyway! The radio is marked as a CD30-MP3 which is what confused me - and still does you won't be surprised to hear!

It maybe the stereo will accept cd's with mp3 files on it. If so you can get over a hundred songs onto one cd and the unit will display the song title as it plays. The wifes car has this set up and works well.
Have you looked in the glovebox or centre console for a connector (usually a jack point)

She'll be round her Toy Boy's, 13 Glenfield close ....
she's out of luck then, i'm out ;)

back ot: i use a jvc ipod stereo in the car; it has a usb port (so any usb device works) and allows control via the ipod or the car stereo. it's very handy with the hacked ipod touch that (in concert with a mini gps receiver) allows it to be a very useful pratt-nav too…

Doesn't everybody use a smartphone these days? (I've just bought a 32 GB memory card for mine and I'm sure that a big chunk of that will end up with music on it.)

I must admit I am a bit suprised anyone would buy an iPod I just use my S3 and stream music from my amazon account online, plus I have the 32gb micro sd card for local storage.

For simplicity and ease of use, an iPod is a good bet. However, if you're not in the car, the sound quality is pish and the earphones worthless.

I just googled CD30-MP3 and found that this is a Vauxhall stereo. There are loads of people on the interweb asking how to connect the AUX cable, but it seems that there is no easy fix.

made a schoolboy error when replacing the crap vauxhall stereo with the ipod one mentioned in my previous post: it turned out the controls for the time clock were on the original unit, so we now have a car clock that's an hour and a half fast (and getting faster)
