Hi guys, looking for some mudguards for my hybrid, don't want to pay the world, just a good value mud guard! Any suggestions?

What's the bike...hybrid could be one of a 1000 options. Does it have fixing points?

If so an SKS chromoplastic or Commuter. Buy from Halfords, they fit for £5-8. Fitting mudguards requires patience and black magic

+1 for the sks chromoplastic.
Fit them yourself, no black magic required.
As an added bonus you will develop the ability to swear without repetition, hesitation or deviation for considerably longer than 1 minute...

I would follow Vickster's advice. Fitting mudguards is a bit like snooker, looks easy and logical but is a PIA to stop the tyres rubbing. Well worth £5-£8 charged by Halfords.

Triangular stays are a much more rigid design than just straight stays:

They were £12 at decathlon last year.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
And when the guards rub (and even the best will once one of the bendy bits of metal they come with gets bent) if you know the magic yourself you can sort it out quickly and easily.
