I have used the PDW Fenderbot (£12 from St John Street Cycles)

Not the brightest, but I have not had any problems

Screw on lens like my old JOS? I think that is the answer to my waterproofing woes.

_fenderbot is a nice little bit of kit and quite cleverly thought out to avoid the design shortcomings of many similar lights.

e.g.

Lens is held in place with screw not clip
Switch is mounted inside body and operated by a plastic rod about 1/3rd of the way down the lens, rather than residing at the bottom of the case.
You don't need to unscrew the lens to get the thing working from new just pull out the plastic film tab that isolates the batteries.
Made of chunky decent quality plastics.

We like.
