Having had a dentists appointment cancelled I'm at loose end,so I goes to You Tube to see and hear Billy Paul and Me and Mrs Jones: the clip where he's in some venue surrounded by black dudes dancing. How exotic is that! Way back when when races and cultures were separated there was something exotic and foreign about different folk. Now we're all 'educated about everyone' and everything am I alone in fearing we're becoming magnolia and bland,all-a-singing from the same hymn sheet.
Waybackwhen,'queers'(now an acceptable term of reference I'm told)were foreign, black culture too. Gee...to encounter such people or places was sorta special and niche, now everything's a coffee latte,a sorta mediocre muzac o sap where blandness rules.
This homogenous globalized liberalism is supping differences out o things: everythings becoming the same same-old...even our town and the shops in the towns.
Shish. A walk down the sixties music scene and what was...was/is so interesting. Once upon-a-time there were interesting and exotic peoples around the world with different outlooks and practices and wotnot. Now everyone's buying Next and music has become Simon Cowell. Everything's becoming 'straight',even a walk coffee and walk down Old Compton Street.
Now that peace and understanding rules the world...it's kinda getting boring. And as a PS maybe that's why people have to leave NZ for a bit to get some crack.
Just sayin...

"Yellow Chinkies"? I can't see it getting much airplay today.
It is quite appalling looking back at it isn't it?

Mind, I always thought it was shoot.

If I wrote what I was 'just sayin' this would have been deleted by now, as should the attitude

....I'm drawing a line under this one.......

It's not a cafe thread or a NACA thread and unfortunately for Tyreon, I can't see it getting a much better reception than it has already.
