Went to carpet shop and got 12 x 10' of blue cord carpet as HA is now insisting that we have carpet (that we can't really afford right now) in the bedroom that we only ever enter to sleep in as it annoys her downstairs. £30 all in all but we have provided the demanded carpet. They never said what sort of carpet, they just said to carpet it, so we have.
I will finish the decorating in that room later. (before laying carpet)
