Almost seven million QUALITY STREET® sweets are manufactured every day at the Nestlé Confectionery factory in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Laid end to end, a week's production would stretch around 1,000Km!

Is it almost and not a full seven million because the rest are eaten or nicked by the ones who work there?

They used to allow you to eat as much as you wanted. Now if you're caught, its instant dismissal.

Bloody tight gits! The one good thing about working in a "sweetie factory" was that you could stuff yourself. I worked at Holland's Pies in Accrington. You could eat pies all day long......happy days!!

Could you do it now though?

Eating chocolate all day long though. You'd only eat so much before you got sick of it.
Got stopped when Nestle's took over.
