I've been busy in the garden this morning, this afternoon I've got two Buddleias to prune. I brought three, the variety that are supposed to not grow more than four foot tall. I lost one, the one down the bottom of the garden made five foot and is straggly, the one by the house is big and bushy and about seven foot tall.

The buddleias look like they've shrunk!

Tonight at the pub is Cheese Club. We will be drinking beer, sampling cheese, listening to someone talk about cheese, perhaps having another beer, trying some more cheese, chatting to people about the cheese we are tasting, beer, cheese, beer, cheese, beer......

What's not to like.

Having watched my lads after the evil deed was done, I felt soooo sorry for them.

We had a bit of a dilemma when we had our two done, brother and sister 6 months old. We left them with the Vet who said come back in about an hour. So
we went off to the supermarket to do a bit of shopping and while we were at the till we got a phone call from the Vet telling us that Marley the boy cat (at the back in the photo) had been neutered ok. Then came the shock, she said did we realise that Jolene was pregnant. The choice was if we still wanted her spayed she would have to do an abortion. Regrettably we chose the abortion, if we had had more time to think about it, we would have had a house full of kittens.

Last Tuesday I lost my favourite woolly hat* on the school run. Today I got it back. Someone had found it on the path, put it on a bush, my daughter spotted it and recuperated it. Recaperated might be the better word.

(When Bella got released from reception she ran across the playground shouting ''Stupid Granddad, stupid granddad!'')
