Fortunately not too badly hurt. About as embarrasing for the organisers as the bus getting stuck on the finish line a couple of years ago.
The result made me happy though, clearly a plan came together perfectly.

yebbut, the weather always looks so grim in these Icelandic music vids, like that Sigur Rós film where they trudged round the island playing open air concerts and all the locals came out in thick (icelandic) jumpers to keep warm.
I'm not dissing the music though, the bad weather must keep them inside practising until they're all ethereal.

Just managed the weekly shop. Now in IKEA for a rest in the cafe. Big mistake. We need to list the locations of everything we are buying on Tuesday and Wednesday to aid things because we only have the hire van for a certain period of time and our car is not big enough to fit a king sized mattress in. We want a proper king-sized not 2 singles otherwise there bedding does not quite fit properly and you have that ridge in the middle. 7 weeks of 2 singles put together have convinced us the hire van is worth it.
On the poorly front my body is still rejecting food. Awful stomach cramps when I try to eat anything other than light liquid and even then only 125ml at a time. So far it has cost me 2kg in weight! So I am now lighter than when my back went, just not as thin because I'm not that fit and am carrying more fat than i was when my back went. The diet enforced rather than currently optional continues! At least I can be wheeled around in a wheelchair! Saves energy...

Cousin used to get something similar when she used water from a well. Drilled and pumped to the surface.

The float on the ball valve in our bathroom parted company with the lever arm that closes off the water supply. There was a minor inundation through the ceiling lights in the room below.

I'm not sure 5.30 in the morning counts as day in my book. But put the weather on hold for us. My big brother keeps on worrying about how slow he will be. And I keep telling him not to - it's a social ride, nobody gets dropped, that kind of thing - but he's not going to believe me until he meets us.It's a lovely day here on the beach
I just looked at the route down from London. I'm surprised it's 75 miles. I always think of Kent as being smaller.
