The float on the ball valve in our bathroom parted company with the lever arm that closes off the water supply. There was a minor inundation through the ceiling lights in the room below.

That happened to a neighbour of mine a few years ago. I could hear running water for a while and thought he was hosing his path, it was when I saw water pouring out of the overflow in the roof that I realised that something was up. Both of my neighbours were away and so I had to find the neighbour that was looking after their house. When we went inside water was pouring through the downstairs ceiling. We went to the fire station where his friend worked and they came out to sort things out, apparently they can be called out in that situation as it is a safety issue .

The new kitten seems to be constantly attacking things. We have had kittens before in the past but we can't remember any of them being as mad as this one, he does rugby tackles on your legs as you walk past.

Talking of sheds. I have just got the bikes out ready to go and discovered that a tin of chalk paint has leaked.

Thankfully the bikes have not been repainted but there are a few other items that may have been enhanced. Most seems to be on the floor so i think next week may involve a little shed floor painting

The vets just phoned, he said that Nettiethedog seems much brighter but still isn't eating, he thinks she might be a bit distressed being there so he wants us to take her home and monitor her here to see how she gets on. We are going to collect her at 9:30. I can't tell you how relieved we are to be bringing her home, we had a horrible night last night.
