When Snipe went through the worst of her Vomiting Labrador (TM) stage, she only turned down food the once and that was dry kibble, which she no longer gets as one of the vets thought that was constantly irritating her guts. All her convalescence meals (combination of some or all of mashed potatoes, chicken, scrambled egg, rice) weren't just accepted but demanded*, even if she went and deposited the lot on the lawn immediately afterwards. Labradors.

*I still can't prepare myself mashed potatoes or scrambled eggs without her hanging around, just in case it's for her.

Wet morning. Gwen my cat is refusing to eat or drink, she did have a tiny bit of cooked fish yesterday but it wasn't much. We have offered her some bits of food which makes her lick her lips but that is all. I have given her cuddles which make her purr and smile but she still won't eat. I will have to think of what food she really liked.

Rain here but it's welcome as the new plants went into their new homes on the patio yesterday evening and they needed a good soaking. However, it's quite muggy so I shall get eaten alive by the horseflies when I take Snipe out later.

Might be worth calling the vets to see what they suggest. Personally, I'd be more worried about the not drinking than the not eating.

How is she getting on with the kitten?
Sasha refused to eat and drink for a while when the ginger ninja arrived because he bothered her when she was eating. He still does so she is fed elsewhere. She won't even eat her treat biscuits if he is around.

The sun is shining here and I need to come up with some blackcurrant recipes as we picked the ones on our allotment yesterday. I also need a cup of coffee.... But as always my coffee maker is still asleep!

Good morning to everyone.
I can't decide what to wear, it's cool and muggy atm but it's going to rain and get hot later. It's also quite breezy. I think I'll be stopping a lot; jacket on, jacket off, jacket on...

I watched Chris Froome yesterday. Awesome.

Thanks for your kind support. Gwen is trying to sleep at the moment, we are on the bed, her weekend treat. I have been thinking of cat food. It was easy in the late 50s / 60s . as they were fed on table scraps, fish heads and what ever they caught, wild rabbit at times. I once cooked some minnows on a piece of glass and had difficulty keeping my cat away, it was meant for her but not hot.
We will try and get a small syringe so that she have some water. She may have had some water in the night as we had put a bowl of food and water down.
I just remembered that the pair of them, Gwen and Trent used to sit in the bath and beg me to turn the tap on a little so that they could drink from the magical fountain.
