We had a lovely morning in Bourton On The Water, unfortunately our Son wasn't feeling well so we had to cut things short just after dinner and return home.

I have made soup. And curry. And got meat marinading for bbq. And frantic housework is about to commence due to unexpected invitees to said bbq.

They're due here in 15. I've just sat down. I'm knackered

I just went and measured how far away those runner beans were in the photo, just over 100 ft and taken through a window from inside the house.

I think I'll give it another go when we get a full moon and a clear night.

Till December.

It's a great job. He's running a dive concession on the shore of Lake Malawi. He's a bit sad at the mo because his security guard's 2 five year old children have just died of yellow fever. It's been a massive introducion to the realities of Africa.

Makes me sad just reading about it. Must be very hard.

We went to Kings Lock Cottage and sat in the garden and had a coffee. There were a group of retired folk jamming in the garden, it was rather nice listening to them.

Been up to Belmont to watch the Bolton Ironman and cheering some club members (the mad ones! ). Great atmosphere, no voice left as I was cheering and clapping everyone.

Our neighbour is mowing his lawns, it is way too hot for that kind of thing. Strange really because they only seem to touch their garden at the weekend which seems a waste of a weekend, I prefer to do mine on a weekday evening so we can keep our weekends free to enjoy.

I enjoy working in the garden, I don't see it as a waste of a weekend.
