I'm ill so no riding for me this weekend. I have though, successfully (I think) heat treated and hardened two blades I am making. Check out the use of an old spoke to hold a little magnet.

I quite like the idea of putting on a 70's supper party. Mateus Rose, Black Tower, Hirondelle, and a menu that the Bernis would be proud of. I can't decide on the mood music.

About 20 minutes ago my wife and I were having a bit of a BBQ on the back patio, when I just looked up to see 20 ft away a fox on the lawn. I said to my wife to look up, which she did and then fumbled to try to get her phone to take a picture, by which time the fox had noticed that we were watching and wandered backup the garden. I haven't seen the fox in the garden since the spring.

I have a question for the panel. Why is it you start of with a large pack of identical black socks and a couple of months later you end up with a large pile of odd socks in forty shades of black?

Did you buy said socks all at the same same time?
Dye runs/fades at different rates in different batches.

yes all brought at the same time and all out of the same pack.

Can only put it down to dye fade/run rate. Assuming equal wear of course.
